Through the creation of this nurturing environment for our students we encourage the development of pivotal characteristics with regards to attitude and principles of success, including accountability, high work ethic & determination. We have a holistic approach to our training philosophy, incorporating all aspects essential to peak performance and academic achievement.

The ISGM Team

Our team of training experts is employed to assist developing students’ performance, as well as mentoring the students to reach their full potential. All our practical training staff are trained through the PGA system and are qualified in the TOTAL GOLF Coaching System. Academic lecturers hold degrees from renowned universities with appropriate teaching experience.


One of the leading figures in South African Tourism industry over the past 25 years, having built his own Boutique Hotel Group, won numerous awards as well as having occupied several important National and International leadership positions including SATSA President and Chairperson of the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. Prior to relocating to Mauritius to form EMPD Africa Ltd. he spent 5 years as the Director of the Cape Town Hotel School at Cape Peninsula University of Technology where he formed links with leading African and International specialist academics and professionals in the field of business and hospitality management development.


Simeon Davies is presently Head of the Sport Management Department at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in South Africa and has also occupied the post of Head of School Sport, Events, Tourism and Hospitality Management in the Faculty of Business & Management Sciences. Prof Davies has extensive experience in the field of sports and exercise science, and oversaw the introduction of a golf Diploma at CPUT.
Prof. Davies is particularly interested in research concerning sports exercise science in applied situations, along with ergonomics, human factors, as well as research ethics, which has resulted in sixty-one peer reviewed publications and ninety-one presentations at national & internal conferences. He acts as a reviewer for seven peer journals, as well as being a member of an editorial board for the Journal Performance Enhancement and Health. Prof Davies played volleyball at International level representing England in two European Championships (1979 and 1983) and Great Britain in the World Student Games (1983).


Daniel attained an Honours Degree in Finance and Portfolio Theory from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors. He has over 12 years’ experience in the offshore corporate, financial and fund services arena. His responsibilities have included management of international corporates, fund administration and accounting services. He was appointed as managing director of Southern View Finance Mauritius Ltd, a JSE-listed company, to manage its Mauritian operations. He was then appointed as director at Osiris Corporate Solutions (Mauritius) Ltd before moving to Sanlam Trustees International. Daniel currently serves on the boards of Astoria Investment Ltd, Trevo Capital Ltd and New Frontier Properties Ltd, on which he is also chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee.


Gauthier Alessandri is the COO of the International School of Golf Management, a PGA certified Golf trainer and the co-founder of The Islander Golf Academy in Mauritius. He worked in every sector that makes up a Golf Estate for more than five years in Paris at Le Golf de Longchamp, and at Anahita Golf Estate in Mauritius, giving him the necessary skills in golf course management. His partnership with Acushnet Holdings Corp – global leader in design, development, manufacture & distribution of performance driven golf products, Gautier has firsthand expertise in the field of golf equipment. He was also chosen to be the private golf teacher to two top Russian government ministers and their families. Mr Alessandri earned his PGA diploma at Le Golf National in France.

WIAN DE WET (BML | Dip. Sports Mgt)

Wian, Director of eta College, Africa, has been involved in the Sport and Fitness industry since 1999 . He has extensive coaching and managerial knowledge and is passionate about teaching and developing young athletes to reach their full potential. Early in his career he was the head coach of a very successful cricket school in Gauteng, South Africa and also managed a cricket academy for 2 years. In 2006 he became the regional director of eta College which is the leading Sport and Fitness college in South Africa. He manages three South African regions and is in charge of the international expansion of the college. His passion, professionalism and enthusiasm can be seen in the way he conducts business and through exceptional performance over the last decade. He brings a wealth of knowledge & experience to ISGM.

RYAN DODDS (BCom Econ. | PGA Pro- Class AAA)

Ryan Dodds is a Fellow Member of the PGA of South Africa with more than 15 years’ experience in the business of golf. 
He has had the privilege of working in various sub-sectors within the golf industry including golf teaching, retail, golf estate development, club management, rights commercialisation and event management. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with specialisation in Economics.
Ryan consults to the management of ISGM on the business of golf.


Loic Csizmadia studied his PGA Diploma in South Africa and participated in an internship for PGA with The Golf School of Excellence in Johannesburg. He appeared on the IGT Tour for a year after which he freelanced as a professional coach in Mauritius. In 2016, he moved to Florida USA, to work at Frenchman’s Creek Beach & Country where he strengthened his operations and management skills. He returned to Mauritius and founded the Islander Golf Academy with Gauthier in November 2017 and joined the management team of Avalon Golf Estate in September 2019. Loic’s experience adds value to the practical training element at PGA level.
